More about the PCT

You're probably thinking "What the heck is the PCT and why are these two crazy girls going to spend 5 months living on it?" Well, either that or you've seen Wild and it ain't no thang.

The Pacific Crest Trail, better known as the PCT, is a trail that stretches over 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada. It passes along the spine of the mountains that run through California, Oregon, and Washington. Every year, hundreds of hikers set out on this legendary "thru hike" to enjoy the beauty of the various landscapes in the western United States. From the empty deserts of California to the thick evergreen forests of the Pacific Northwest, the PCT explores some of the most breathtaking and captivating wild places in our backyard.

We hope to join the group of people who have the honor of calling themselves "PCT thru hikers." This is a brave new adventure for us and we can't wait to meet and overcome all the challenges the trail will throw at us. The PCT will surely be one of the most incredible journeys we embark on in our lives. Hopefully we will not only discover new places and people, but also new sides of ourselves. After all, as a great preservationist once wrote, going out is really going in.
