Food

Ever wonder about what people eat on the Pacific Crest Trail? Us too. We are new to the whole food planning process so this is where we will talk about finding out what is delicious and what is...not.

There are different methods of staying well fed while doing the PCT. You can mail all your food to towns along the way. You can also buy your food whenever you are off trail and in town. You can scrounge out of hiker boxes. Or you can do a hybrid system by combining mail drops and buying in town.

We are doing the hybrid system. We have about 18 mail drops total and between those towns we will resupply at grocery stores and super markets.

This is the toughest part of the planning process. You are planning what you are going to be eating months in advance! Its a daunting task and very stressful but we are up to the challenge. Its either that or we starve...
